Department of CSE, BUBT organized “Cyber Security - Prospects and Challenges in Bangladesh” via online platform (Google Meet) on October 06, 2020. Md. Fayyaz Khan, Vice Chancellor graced the program as the Chief Guest, Dr. Ali Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, A.H.M Azmal Hossain, joint Registrar, BUBT. Dr. Kamruddin Md. Nur, Chairman, Dept. of CSE was present as session chair. Md. Maruf Hossan, Director, cyber security centre, Daffodil International University, Tanvir Hassan Zoha, cyber security expert, Moniruz Zaman, cyber security expert acted as speaker of the program. Md. Ashraful Islam,Lecturer, Dept. of CSE Moderated the program. The invited speaker discuss about various challenges of Cyber Security prospective in Bangladesh. They suggest us to avoid public wifi, avoid installation of too many mobile apps and Facebook games, and avoid using weak and same password for all account. They also discuss about some attacks like as brute force attack, SQL injection, man in the middle attack. Finally they discuss various weakness in banking system, health sector. They also focus on importance of using Firewall and security prospect in our desktop/laptop.
